Long-standing residents have seen our high street decline whilst others, such as Southbourne, have transformed for the better.
Improving aesthetics
Let's face it our high street has seen better days! We want to restore pride in it, and make it an attractive and thriving business area again.
Enhancing Retail Diversity
Shops selling the same things means excessive competition and a lack of variety for residents. We aim to provide incentives to attract new retailers - tell us what you want!!
Safety and Security
The high street suffers from crime and anti-social behaviour, particularly at weekends. We want to explore ways of tackling this with our Councillors and local police.
Help us reinvigorate our high street
Our thoughts are at an early stage, but through the creation of a Trader's Association and working with both retailers and local commercial landlords as well the council we are hopeful to be able to 'reboot' our local high street.
