Who we are
Queen's Park and Charminster Community Charity (registered charity no. 1193653) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us through our contact form.
What we collect and why
- Newsletter sign-up: your name (optional) and email address, so we can send you news about our work in Queen's Park and Charminster.
- Volunteer and trustee enquiries: your name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your address and phone number, so we can contact you about volunteering.
- Contact form messages: your name, email address and message, so we can reply. These are emailed to us and are not added to any mailing list.
We rely on your consent to process this information. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or by contacting us.
Who we share it with
We use Brevo (Brevo SAS) to store contact details and send our newsletter. Brevo processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and stores it within the European Union. Our website is hosted by Hostinger. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam; it checks your browser without tracking you across other sites. We never sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing.
Donations are handled by PayPal Giving Fund, and affiliate offers by the partner companies linked on our site. Their own privacy policies apply when you use their services.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter subscribers until they unsubscribe. We keep volunteer enquiries for as long as you volunteer with us, and delete enquiries that don't lead to volunteering after 12 months.
Cookies
This website only sets cookies that are needed for it to work, unless you agree to analytics cookies through the cookie banner. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand which pages are useful; you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact us through our contact form and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
