WOW!! What a transformation!!

Underpass mural of four people on a beach bench facing the sea, one holding a red flag reading 'Anything is'

@HumbleCherub, completed his transformation of the underpass by BH Live into a AFC Bournemouth themed masterpiece on 27th Sept 2024. If you haven’t seen it yet, and are able, we urge you to go and take a look in wonder.

An unloved, dirty and oppressive walkway under the Wessex Way between Queens Park South Drive and Holdenhurst Road has been turned into an amazing artpiece we can all be proud of.

A huge thank you goes out to all of those worked hard to make it happen:

@HumbleCherub for the artistic work, Councillor Sharon Carr-Brown for tirelessly talking and collaborating to raise funding and making it happen, AFC Bournemouth for the funding and input into the design and BCP Council for authorising and enabling the community take positive action to make this much needed improvement.

The council have been busy this week applying a protective coating, hopefully preventing it being spoiled by others and enabling it to last for many years to come.

We took a few more photos to give you a teaser, but recommend you go and see for yourselves.

We hope that this is the first of many initiatives we, as a community, we can work with the council and local sponsors and businesses to improve our local environment for the good of all!
